Valentine Plunge 02-04-12

Dear Friends and Family,

On February 4th Joan Dancy & Pals will hold its 6th Annual Valentine Plunge to raise funds to care for people in our communities living with ALS.

My father, Brian Dillon (diagnosed April 2010- age 46) and I will be jumping in 32 (or less) degree water in the middle of the winter has to be the stupidest idea ever but so worth it! The icy plunge goes against all of your natural instincts but most of us are going out for the fifth year in a row as an act of solidarity with our local PALS (paitents with ALS) because they are conquering immensely greater fears every minute of every day. The spirit of the day is incredibly uplifting. To see hundreds of people come together to help their neighbors in need is just beautiful.

The "plunge" we're asking you to make doesn't involve freezing cold water -- but it will make a big splash in the lives of our PALS. Please support my particiation in the 6th Annual Valentine Plunge. Please follow the link below to my Valentine Plunge participant page:

I greatly appreciate your time and support of my efforts.

Thank you,

Leanne Johnson

Help defeat ALS for my dad, Brian Dillon...

Dear Friends and Family,

My father, Brian Dillon, was diagnosed with Bulbar ALS (April 2010). My family and I are participating in the Walk to Defeat ALS and I need your support!

You can help me make a difference by supporting my fund-raising efforts with a donation. The ALS Association is the only non-profit organization fighting Lou Gehrig’s Disease on every front. Through a nationwide Chapter network, The ALS Association leads the way in global research, coordinates multidisciplinary certified clinical care centers, supports the people and families of those affected by ALS and fosters government partnerships. The Association builds hope and enhances quality of life while aggressively searching for new treatments and a cure.

Your tax-deductible gift will make a considerable difference in the lives of many! It is faster and easier than ever to support this great cause - you can make your donation online by simply clicking on the link at the bottom of this message. If you would prefer, you can also send your tax-deductible contribution to the address listed below.
Any amount, great or small, helps in the fight. I greatly appreciate your support and will keep you posted on my progress. Thank you for doing your part in the battle against ALS.

 The event is:

New Britain Walk - September 24, 2011

Why don't you join my team? The more Walkers, the merrier and the better for the mission of The ALS Association. We need people like you on my team.

Your participation in the Walk will make a difference in the lives of those affected by ALS. Think about the ways that The ALS Association has impacted those around you. The money we raise will help The Association lead global research, assist people with ALS, fund multidisciplinary certified clinical care centers, and foster government partnerships. Each dollar we contribute will make a difference! The Association builds hope and enhances quality of life while aggressively searching for new treatments and a cure.

We need your support, so please do anything you can; join my team, register as an individual or make a donation to support my efforts.

Thank you so much and we look forward to seeing many of you at the Walk on September 24, 2011!

With much appreciation for your donation.
