Live Simply

Today's card is featuring Watermelon Wonder.

Are you noticing a trend from my previous posts from this week?

Do you have a favorite In Color yet?

I haven't decided because it's hard to just choose one, you know?!?

I'm excited to be a part of Mojo Monday (#Mojo400) 400th sketch challenge. I congratulate Julee on almost 8 years of designing these sketches and the design team for continuing to inspire us with your creations each week.

Julee is offering a Mojo Monday designer team member spot to two (2 and not tutu - Ha!) participants. I have not participated that often and just recently starting playing along with sketch challenges. I have been having lots of fun coming up with my own creations. I generally like to CASE (Copy And Share Everything) but it's much more rewarding to design your own. I especially like the sweet comments, repining from Pinterest and recognition from other crafters CASEing my work. If all that doesn't keep me inspired to keep creating my own designs I'm not sure what would.

I would love to be a Mojo Monday designer!

Would you agree?

Knowing that I was going to use a new 2015 - 2016 In Color, this 400th Mojo Monday sketch allowed it to blossom!

Oh look at that a pun!

HA!

But seriously take a look at this card.

Could it be the clear embossed Hardwood background?

The flower?

The fact I watercolored the flower but you cannot really tell from the photo.

The dimensional of the flower or the different textures?

The sentiment on the leaf?

I still have no words but maybe you can help me with them.

Here is a closer view of the Watermelon Wonder lace trim flower blossom.

The lace really helped my flower become three dimensional.

I've layered black stamens and then put a Watermelon Wonder blossom accent with a rhinestone center in the middle of my flower.

I felt that I needed a sentiment but I didn't want to take away from the main attraction, the flower.

I used my Cucumber Crush Stampin' Write marker to ink only a few of the words on the stamp onto my leaves.

This card just has such a POP which makes me love it even more.

I think it's a mix of the colors used and the fun flower!
