Soaring

First time playing with the Sky is the Limit stamp set and I must say, it sent me soaring and wanting to create more. Ha! Like the play on words there? Yeah ok, I’m corny but hey I bet you’ll like this stamp set too once it’s in your hands in January.  You will want to order this set as soon as possible. It’s only available in the Sale-A-Bration Catalog until February 15, 2016.

Do you see the clouds on the vellum circle? I tried to get a good picture to show you this detail. I used VersaMark Ink Pad and poured Clear Embossing Powder over them for a subtle look.  What about the Sahara Sand circle embossed with the World Traveler folder. I like how you are able to still see the embossing behind the vellum piece. The plane is so high in the air, it’s above the clouds flying over the world.

How about the propeller? I again used VersaMark Ink Pad and poured Clear Embossing Powder on Vellum. Punched it out with the ½” Circle punch and took the 1/16’ Handheld Circle punch to make a hole in the center of both the fussy cut plane and this vellum propeller piece all attached with a Mini Silver Brad. It could rotate if you move the vellum piece but I did this more for the look that it is moving. How’d I do?

I used the theme from Watercooler Wednesday Challenge (#WWC46).

Thank you for stopping by today. I welcome you to return tomorrow as I am going to go back to some Christmas themed projects. I’m sorry I was sidetracked by new product and just needed to share my creations with you.

  1. Oh Leanne, where do I begin? What at first glance appears like a nicely put together, simple card is so very much more, isn't it? Yes, I see the vellum with the heat embossing and love that it it allows the embossing on that circle to show through. Great idea to use the World Traveler embossing folder on a circle! Great idea, too, fussy-cutting that bi-plane from the Sky is the Limit set. My nephew is crazy about planes and you've given me some terrific ideas. Thanks so much for sharing your creation with us for our Watercooler Wednesday Challenge this week.

    1. Heidi- Thank you. Yes it does appear to be a simple card but I guess I go over the top because I just love to add little details.
