Just a Meeting

Happy Friday the 13th stampers! The ladies over at SSINK are NOT superstitious and we are celebrating Framelit Friday! We are using our favorite framelits on our all projects today.

I’d like to take this opportunity to wish Shannon West (fellow Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator and Trainer at the Stampin’ Up! Home office) a Happy Birthday today! Shannon was the one that started the #imbringingbirthdaysback movement. She appeared on Good4Utah News station to bring attention to making and mailing birthday cards. Stampin' Up! even jumped on board and mass produced her hand carved #imbringingbirthdaysback as a single wood mount stamp. You can have your very own too! Just click the picture/link below to shop my online store.

I have already mailed my card to Shannon but wanted to still honor her today on my blog post. It was only fitting to create another birthday card.

I'm really going to miss the "It's My Party" Suite from the 2016 Occasion Catalog. Its bright and cheerfulness really made it easy to create lots of great birthday cards and projects.

I used the Drapery Fold Technique. I will do my best to explain the directions but I looked up the instructions on Pinterest. I'm sure you could Google it too! The It's My Party Designer Series Paper (DSP) was cut at 4" x 11½", then scored at 3", 4", 6", 7", 9", and 10". Once this is completed you will take the biggest non-scored section, which should measure 3" x 4". Be sure to have this section on the bottom portion of your trimmer. Line up the top left corner at or about 1¾" and the bottom right corner of the 3" x 4" section should be lined up at the score/cut line. Trim once you feel everything has lined up properly. Pleat the score lines and adhere to card base. See the photos below.

I used the SUO Challenge (#SUO148) to use our favorite DSP that is about to retire.

Measurements:
Mint Macaron card base 5½” x 8½” scored at 4 ¼”
It’s My Party DSP 4” x 11½” scored at 3”, 4”, 6”, 7”, 9” and 10”
