Favorite Stamp Set(s)

Welcome to the “Blogging Friends Blog Hop!”

Who are the “Blogging Friends”? We are a group of Stampin’ Up! demonstrators located all across the U.S. and Canada who had never met before. Well, actually, we still haven’t met yet (in person)… But, through our common bond of Stampin’ Up! and a shared love of paper crafting we have created a fun new blog hop. Please join us on the 1st of every month to see what wonderful things we have created!

Each month we’ll have a different theme: this month it’s Favorite Stamp Set(s).

Happy April Fool's Day! I have no pranks or jokes for you. I hope you don't mind. Fingers crossed the rest of your day is similar with no jokes or pranks. I had a really tough time choosing just one or two stamp sets to label as my favorite. Ask my fellow Stampin' Up! demonstrators, it's really hard when there are so many great options. I did narrow it down to one current stamp set. Yes, I can't believe it either but I picked one from the 2016 Occasions Catalog. It's called Birthday Blooms. I really hope that this makes the carryover list for the 2016 - 2017 Annual Catalog. I'll find out soon when I'm in Salt Lake City for Onstage Live. EEK only 13 more days! But I'm not counting.

This is the photo from page 9 of the 2016 Occasions Catalog. I enjoy being able to color a large deatiled flower.

Ready to see what I created?

Color Combination:

I stamped the big bloom directly on the Typeset Designer Series Paper (DSP) and colored the image with my aqua painter. I had used my heat tool to help dry the paper so I could add additional color to make it darker. I could have used my markers but felt it would have bled through the paper and possibly be too dark that you couldn't see the words from the paper through the colors. My husband seems to think I stamped on 'newspaper' and added it to card stock. Ha.

A close-up to show off the Wink of Stella Glitter Brush®. I used both the Clear and Gold glitter brushes. Love how it gives a slight shimmer depending on the angle you hold the card.

Below are some additional cards that I created using this same stamp set. Below each card is a link that will take you back to the specific blog post.

Your Kindness

In case you’ve never ‘done’ a blog hop before, it’s really easy! At the bottom of this post, you’ll see another image similar to the one above, and when you click on it, you’ll be taken directly to the next blog in the hop. Keep clicking on that image at the bottom of each blog post, and you’ll hop through all of the participating blogs, back to where you started – and you’ll see all of the amazing projects and maybe will inspire you too! If you’d prefer to hop about at your leisure, you can click on the individual links for each blog. Happy Hopping!

  13. Leanne, I love that stamp set it was a must have on my preorder. I didn't care about any of the other ones because I knew I would get them in time, but that one had to be on the first order
