Dear Dad

SSINK is focusing on Father’s Day today. This worked out perfectly because I can use my card for the themed challenge from The Paper Players too! Claire chose the theme of Father’s Day also.

Since many of us crafters have a hard time with masculine cards, I chose to think of what my father-in-law likes. Well he likes to hike and to hunt. So I was certainly going for a hunter theme for his card. The first thing that came to mind was deer since that is what he hunts most. So that was my starting point along with using the Woodland embossing folder. From there everything else just happened because I wanted to use new Stampin' Up! products. Doesn't the Peekaboo Peach, Emerald Envy and Chocolate Chip just coordinate and scream "Hey Hunter!"?

I’ve used the theme from The Paper Players (#PP298).

Measurements:
  • Chocolate Chip card base 4 ¼” x 11” scored at 5 ¼”
  • Chocolate Chip 4” x 5 ¼” embossed with Woodland folder
  • Playful Palette DSP 1 ½” x 4 ¼”
  • Peekaboo Peach 2 ½” x 3 ½”
  • Very Vanilla 1 7/8” x 1 7/8”
