Dream Without Fear

It’s finally Friday friends! Yippee! A few days ago I received an email about the Colour Your World Blog Hop. I was inspired by the color combination the hoppers were using and wanted to create my own card.

While in Utah last week at Stampin’ Up!’s OnStage Live event, they were showcasing the new craze of shaker cards. So I decided to create one. Although I do not have the foam strips yet (hopefully by Wednesday) that they are selling to make the shaker cards easier. So hint hint if you catch my drift.

The Watercolor Wash background are the following colors from top to bottom: Pool Party, Bermuda Bay and Sahara Sand. I added the ink on the stamp using the sponge daubers to soften the image as if it were truly water colored. I found a new use for my Bow Builder punch. I mean yes is creates bows but did you know it can do more? You can use the (what I call the mermaid tail) tail section to cut the small ' v ' for the banner. I would have used the Tripler Banner punch but that was going to cut the ' v ' too large for what I was looking for. See the pictures below. What do you think? Great new use for a punch you may or may not have?

Here is the color inspiration from the Colour Your World Blog Hop.

Measurements:
  • Pool Party card base 4 ¼” x 11” scored 5 ½”
  • Early Espresso 4 1/8” x 5 3/8”
  • Very Vanilla 4” x 5 ¼” and the banner is ½” x 2 ½”

Product List
I made sure I used products that were carrying over into the 2016 – 2017 Annual Catalog. So you can make this card for another 13 months. You're welcome.

Have you seen the Stampin’ Up! Retirement List? I was a bit shocked by a few (ok a lot) products. I will be honest with you, it will be okay you will like all the new products that will be (available to purchase June 1, 2016) in the 2016 - 2017 Annual Catalog.
