Something For You

Happy Thursday stampers! It’s the very last day of 2015. How was the year for you? 2015 for me was very busy but a good busy. Many family gatherings (weddings, picnics, vacations, holidays, etc) lots of crafting, blogging and making many new stamping friends around the world.

I’m ready for another fresh start to the year. I plan to continue creating, blogging, sharing my craftiness with you and your friends. I have a plans to start making technique and step by step videos, crafting classes by mail and much more. I appreciate your honesty and loyalty so please stay tuned for more coming in the near future.

I wanted to make you a Happy New Year card but the supplies I wanted to use I do not own yet. They should be arriving in the next few weeks. So I will say Happy New Year again once it’s made.

Today’s card is a pretty easy one or I think so.

  • For your card base, cut a piece of Lost Lagoon to 4 ¼” x 11” and score at 5 ½”.
  • For you next layer, cut a piece of Sahara Sand to 5 ¼” x 4” Emboss it with World Traveler folder and stamp sentiment in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink.
  • Cut about 6 ½” of the Natural 5/8” Cheveron ribbon and wrap around the Sahara Sand embossed piece. Add dimensionals to the Sahara Sand piece with ribbon and adhere to the Lost Lagoon card base.
  • Now take a scrap piece of Lost Lagoon and stamp then punch with the  2 3/8” Circle Scallop punch and add with dimensionals.

What do you think?

Thank you for taking time out of your day to see what I made. I wish you and your family a Happy New Year!

Sweet Chick

Welcome back again stampers! Today I’ve got another sneak peek of another Sale-A-Bration stamp set along with some exclusive DSP.

I attempted to just keeping this card as a one layer but coloring the chick with the So Soffaron Stampin’ Write Marker didn’t look photo worthy with the brush stroke marks. I stamped and fussy cut the chick and popped him/her up.

Here is a closer look at the sentiment and the wrapped Crushed Curry baker’s twine.

First Sigh

WOW, can you believe it? It’s the last Monday of 2015. This year has flown by and before you know it 2016 will be here. Technically on Friday. Have you been thinking of some new year resolutions? I have thought about it and I think I will keep the same ones as this past year.

-         Mail a card each day
-         Share what I love with everyone

It isn’t a crime to keep the same ones from year to year, is it?

Ready to see what I have for you today? I was thinking ahead to the next biggest holiday. Who is thinking of Valentine's Day? I am. Something with a heart and sparkly. I didn't use the traditional pink or red but blues can be used for both males and females.

Here is a closer view of the font that I fell in “love at first sigh”. Oh and how about the stitched 3/8” Bermuda Bay ribbon and the heart DSP.

I used the sketch from Sunday Stampers (#SSC116).
