I am so very excited to be part of the 2016 Stampin Friends Blog Hop. I sure hope that you will return each month for some themed inspiration. Today I have a card and a candy filled with rolos (one of my husband's favorite chocolates) treat box made especially for Valentine's Day. The hubby will not be receiving this as it is "too girly" (in his words) for his taste. Although he did mention the chocolate could stay home and the card and empty box could go to anyone. Ha Isn't he hillarious? I thought about it and I will visit my aunt since her birthday is the day after Valentine's Day and give her a birthday surprise. Think she'll like it?
Measurements:
Calyspo Coral card base 4 ¼” x 11” Scored at 5 ½”
Gold Foil 4 3/8” x 4 3/8”
Pretty Petals DSP 4" x 4"
Calyspo Coral 16" Seam Binding Ribbon
Ready for the treat box? I used a Tag a Bag Gift Box and decorated it. Using the Perfectly Artistic DSP from Sale-A-Bration measured at 3 ½” x 12" as a belly band. I used Calypso Coral seam binding wrapped around the DSP. Inside the box is white tissue paper that I used the Fringe Scissors to create my own filler. Then in this order from bottom to top I used the Gold Metallic Foil doily, larger Deco Label embossed with Happy Heart folder, Gold Metallic Thread attached to the Whisper White smaller Deco Label stamped My Valentine with Calyspo Coral ink and some Gold Wink of Stella®.
Here is a closer view of those layered
items. Oh and that bow is being held onto the doily and deco labels by a Mini Gold Metallic clothespin (hard to tell it's there). I'm sorry I didn't take a different angle photo for you to see it. This bow probably took me the longest to create as I kept fussing with it for too long. I wanted it just right and well after many attempts I let the bow stay the way it wanted. Yes I gave up on it. I did add a small Whisper White button threaded with a few strands of the Calyspo Coral Thick Baker's Twine.
