Welcome back to Monday my friends. This past weekend I caught up on writing and mailing out many birthday, (some belated and some hopefully on time or maybe slightly early) congratulations and thank you cards. I anticipate that if I continue making birthday cards I wouldn't need to make any belated ones. Good theory right? I have good intentions. So I was inspired to make a belated one since I needed a few this time around. I truly do not forget about birthdays of family members or friends. I mean Facebook helps with that lovely reminder on my phone. I believe its the execution of writing the message in the already handmade card and getting the address and postage onto the handmade DSP envelope to then place into the mailbox.
Here is a photo of what I was able to complete. Yes I wrote all those hashtags on the envelopes. I'm still awaiting (patiently) for the #imbringingbirthdaysback stamp from Stampin' Up!.
I was inspired by the colors used in the challenge picture by TGIF Challenges (#tgifc43).
I like the brightness of the colors
and figured it would be good to cheer up the person(s) that you may have (not
forgotten) not sent a card to yet. This most certainly will put a smile on
their face!
Here is the inside verse that
coordinates with the one I used on the Daffodil Delight cake layout on the
front of the card.
Measurements:
Daffodil Delight card base 4 ¼” x 11”
scored at 5 ½”
Daffodil Delight 4” x 5 ¼” embossed
with Tiny Triangles folder
Wild Wasabi ½” Seam Binding Ribbon 14”
