Jacks

SSINK is using Christmas stamp sets in a non-Christmas way.

So while flipping through the 2015 – 2016 Holiday Catalog I stopped at Jolly Christmas. The snowflakes caught my eye. Now remember I’m thinking that they are not snowflakes. What else comes to mind when you see these images?

I saw an old toy that I remember playing with and that you might remember too.

I hope you were thinking of jacks. Do you remember jacks? Bounce the ball and pick up as many jacks before it bounced again and repeat. Ok, yes my imagination stretched a bit but knowing that I wasn't going to be able to cut them out to make three-dimensional jack due to the thin lines I had to think of something else that would work in one-dimension.

I heat embossed the snowflake jacks in silver to make it look a bit more realistic. I used a Lost Lagoon card stock and punch a 1” circle for the bouncy ball and added a white gel pen accent to make it look like it had a shiny coding. What do you think of my card, did I use a Christmas stamp set in a non-Christmas way? Feel free to leave me some blog love below. Let's go check out what the other design team members created.

Thank you for stopping by today and Happy Thanksgiving Eve. I invite you back tomorrow for some thankful wishes for a Happy Thanksgiving day! Don’t forget to enter for a chance to win the Blog Candy Giveaway!

I used the sketch layout from Mojo Monday (#Mojo425)!  I had turned it ninety degrees to work with my idea above.
