Greatest Adventure

Good morning stamping friends! I am (patiently aka anxiously) awaiting the UPS man to deliver some more new goodies today! You will want to return tomorrow and pretty much every day thereafter to see what I have up my sleeve to share with you.

Measurements:

Delightful Dijon 4 ¼” x 11” Scored on 5 ½”
Mossy Meadow 5 3/8” x 3 5/8”
Going Places DSP 5 ¼” x 3 ½”
Lost Lagoon 4 5/8” x 1 5/8”
Sahara Sand 4 ½” x 1 ½” embossed with Happy Hearts

I needed a sentiment and had a thought to heat emboss on Vellum. I figured that the Vellum would allow the map image to show through from behind. I stamped with Mossy Meadow on Vellum and immediately pouring clear embossing powder, heated it and then punched it with the Sweetheart punch. Do you see the small heart next to the “E” in adventure? I colored in the heart using the Gold Wink of Stella® glitter brush. I added the antique brad as it looked similar to a compass and would coordinate with the rest of the card.

How close do you look at your DSP? As I was cutting it down to the size needed to fit on the card, I noticed something. Ok yes this was a map and that’s not surprising but I was looking more towards the bottom. I read, “Johnson’s World showing the course of the Tidal Wave in the Three great Oceans.” So this was meant to be used by a Johnson (me – it’s my last name! :) )

I used the layout (rotated) from Pals Paper Arts (#PPA282).

Thank you for stopping by today to see my submission. What will Wednesday bring?
