Wacky Watercooler March Blog Hop

Welcome back stamping friends! I’m back with the ladies at the Wacky Watercooler Blog Hop this month. This month’s theme is “March Madness meets Fancy Folds”. As you hop along through everyone’s blog be sure to leave them some love and comment on their creations. It’s the fuel that each of us need to continue to share our creations with you monthly.

If you just arrived from Marsha Reed’s blog, thank you for continuing through the hop. Weren’t her projects inspiring? I bet you cannot wait for the next time you get to craft. Lots of wonderful new ideas. If you missed Marsha’s creations, don’t fret, click on the Previous button below.

I’m going to be using new to me stamp sets that I had received recently but haven’t used yet. I’m excited because I didn’t think I would be owning them but after you see so many great ideas (Thanks Pinterest) it just happens to go on your wish list and must get it before it’s too late. So I apologize up front for adding to your wish list. (really not really wink wink)

I used the Twisted Easel Card fold. This is my first attempt at this type of fold. It was a lot simpler than I thought.  CLICK HERE for a tutuorial. Below are a few more angles of the back side of the card. I guess I could have decorated those sides but I like the fact that this still folds flat for mailing.

For my next card I wanted to show off the bug! Hope you weren't thinking of an insect. (smirk) Oh I'm finally using my Metallic Glitter Tape too! So excited that I didn't have any glitter on my hands and face. (Actually the hubby was grateful. He always can tell when I've been using glitter - it's everywhere!) I broke out the aqua painter to softly color in the car.

My last card to show you is all shiny and sparkly! The Shine On Specialty DSP is so pretty and I wanted to be sure that I could get the most out of it. So I didn't use much on this card. Just a few strips will do. I added the Watermelon Wonder color because it's been a while time since I've used the 1" Stitched Satin ribbon.

Thank you for visiting today. I hope I have inspired you to try the Twisted Easel Card fold. Are you ready to see what Buffy has in store for you? I bet it’s amazing. Let’s not wait any longer, click the Next button below.

  3. Leanne, the twisted easel card is the perfect fit for the Nice Cuppa card. I've gotten this bundle and need to play with it more. I haven't even used my Beautiful Ride set yet. You've inspired me to! TFS

  5. Great cards, Leanne! I love the lemon and tea bag "add-ons" to the stamped stack of cups. I love the combination of Watermelon Wonder and the Shine On dsp. So classy, I think. And your little bug brought back memories!

  10. Beautiful cards Miss Leanne. I hadn't thought about the tea set with the twisted easel fold. What a cool idea. Our loved ones always need a little sparkle and glimmer in their lives...right? At least that's the story I stick to. LOL

Love the bug! I really have to move that set to the top of my wish list. Still on the fence about the specialty paper but what you've done with it is lovely.
Thanks for hopping. Always a treat to see your skills and what they create.
